Stephen Frey – The Fourth Order
If you’re looking for a mystery page turner, check out Stephen Frey’s The Fourth Order.
This is my first time reading one of Frey's books. His background is dealing with acquisitions and mergers with JP Morgan, so he knows his stuff when writing about the business industry.
When I first picked up the book The Fourth Order, to read it, I had my doubts. The plot deals more with the business industry and not the crime industry, which is usually what I read.
After reading only the first couple of chapters, I was pleasantly surprised. I found myself unable to put the book down.
The main character is Michael Rose, an up and comer for Trafalgar Industries who wants to be C.E.O. At first pass, you think he is just a normal ambitious business man, but that is not so.
Frey writes a gripping intriguing book that makes Michael Rose question everyone he meets. This book deals with current issues, and takes place after the tragedy of 9/11. He writes about how the American government has formed a secret government agency. An agency known only as the Fourth Order whose job it is to obtain information on terrorist plans before they occur.
The Order has the right to punish American, and innocent people by various torture methods all in the name of protecting America.
It’s up to Michael Rose and his trusted advisors to stop this government agency that plays God towards its citizens. An agency that reports directly to the President, and often is used for personal agendas. Can Michael Rose do it before he and his family are killed or tortured?
